We are an organization driven by volunteers!
We have many interesting committees and activities to take part in, as well as opportunities for using skills that you possess, or obtaining experience in an area that you would like to develop.  Your experience and skills in administration, business, marketing, technology, program development, education, human resources, accounting, organizing, etc. can help our organization help adult and family literacy learners in the Eastern Capital District region.

There is room for everyone, and volunteering is a great way to learn, meet like-minded people, and make new friends.  Whether you are interested in helping out "now and then" or are looking for an extended service role, we would love to have you join us.

Most non-tutor volunteer work is accomplished by committees which can be chaired by a member of the Board of Directors. Committees generally meet once a month for several hours from September to June. Event committees meet on an "as needed" basis dependent on the event schedule.

Get Involved! Please take a moment to look at the current volunteer categories listed below.  When you find an opportunity that sounds interesting, contact us for more information.  There is no obligation until and unless you agree the volunteer opportunity is right for you.  And please remember how important your efforts will be in promoting literacy in our communities.
