  • Register Now for the Literacy 5K

Please join us on May 7 at the Corning Preserve for the Literacy 5K Run/Walk. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. For full details and to register, click here.

Proceeds from LVORC’s special events make it possible to offer literacy programs and services at no cost to adults in Albany County and Rensselaer County.

Thank you to everyone who made the 11th annual Famous Ladies Tea a big success. We appreciate the support of our sponsors – Cohoes Savings Foundation, Blasch Precision Ceramics, BBL Companies, The Record/The Saratogian, and Hilton Garden Inn, Troy – as well as the generosity of those who donated items and services, and of course, our many guests. Please join us in a big “Bravissima!” to all of the local actresses who brought history to life.

  • Mary Krenceski in the Spotlight

ProLiteracy has published an interview with one of LVORC’s most active volunteers – Mary Krenceski. Mary is a tutor, group instructor, trainer, tester and enduring supporter of our organization. Read about Mary on the ProLiteracy blog.
