LVORC is proud to let you know that we achieved a program rating of “Highly Proficient” by the NYS Education Department – Adult Career and Continuing Ed Services.
This rating is based on our performance last year in a consortium with Literacy Volunteers Clinton, Essex, Franklin. Together we served 150 adult learners with 50% at the lowest level -meaning learners who may be starting out on their path to learn English. Upon enrollment, each student is given a pre-test and after the required number of hours of instruction (30 – 40), a post test. 71.5% of the students showed improvement in their English abilities. We are very pleased with this success!
