It’s our pleasure to announce that the Dollar General Literacy Foundation has generously donated a $9,000 grant to support the LVORC English literacy program at the Refugee Welcome Center in Albany. This grant will go a long way in helping LVORC provide English language classes to refugees who have resettled in our community.

One of the most significant challenges that refugees face is the language barrier, which can make it difficult for them to access essential services, find employment, and integrate into the community. The English literacy program helps to address this challenge by providing refugees with the language skills they need to succeed.

Thanks to the support of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, we will be able to offer these classes to refugees in our community. We are grateful to Dollar General and their continued commitment to supporting education and literacy programs in communities across the country.
